Therapy Hut utilizes technology combined with play to enhance the development of visual/perceptual and emotional/behavioral skills. The following technologies are used in treatments and are accessible to all children at Therapy Hut.
Interactive metronome
Interactive Metronome (IM) is a brain-based multidisciplinary assessment and treatment tool that has been shown, in clinical research, to improve the neurological functions of motor planning and sequencing. Key diagnoses that have shown improvement with IM use include ADD/ADHD, apraxia, auditory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and sensory processing disorders.
Video Game enhanced Therapy
Therapy is enhanced using video gaming attributes. This includes increasing motivation by providing an entertaining environment with corresponding motor movements and active participation of the client. We have seen positive outcomes in functionality when using such modalities for therapy.
Augmentative & Alternative Communication Services
We provide evaluations, consultations, and training for your communication needs. This includes the use of AAC - Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices. Assessments include trials of specific equipment such as iPads, Android-based tablets, Dynavox, Vantage, PRC & Tango.
